Weather Situation:
A monsoon trough combines with a very humid atmosphere to produce thunderstorms over parts of the Northern Territory today. A cluster of slow-moving thunderstorms has developed in the Katherine area and may persist for the next few hours into the early evening.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Katherine, Barunga and Dorisvale.
