NT Police Hunt for Info on Groove Eylandt Aggravated Robbery

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred in Alyangula yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:40pm, police received reports that a 33-year-old airport employee allegedly had their vehicle stolen by two youths.

As the worker was locking the gate before leaving the premises, the youths allegedly entered the vehicle and started to drive away.

In an attempt to stop the youths from driving the car the employee suffered injuries and has since been conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment.

The stolen motor vehicle has been recovered.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call 131 444.
