Nuclear graduates come together to learn about industry opportunities

Paul Skelton (RWM) Talking at Nuclear Vision Conference

Last week, RWM senior waste management specialist, Paul Skelton spoke at the Nuclear Vision Conference with an audience of early career nuclear graduates based at Sellafield. Paul shared information and answered questions about RWM, its role as a waste management company and its mission critical programme as part of the NDA group to deliver a Geological Disposal Facility to safely and securely manage the UK's higher activity nuclear waste. The audience was keen to learn how the GDF Programme, designated a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, could increase scientific, engineering and technological skills, and support regional economic growth.

After positive feedback from the graduate attendees, Paul Skelton, RWM's Head Of Disposability Assessment - Sellafield, commented "raising awareness with the newer recruits, and the talent of the future nuclear industry, about the importance of addressing our legacy and future waste challenges is a vital part of building the UK's science, engineering, research and technical capability required to support the longer-term GDF programme."
