Kiama Council continues to explore all options for the NYE Sky Show 2025.

Mayor Cameron McDonald said Council had received several expressions of interest to support this major community event but was still keen to hear from potential sponsors and partners.

"My sincere thanks to the individuals and local businesses who responded to our call for expressions of interest," Cr McDonald said.

"While we haven't secured the $90,000 needed to deliver this year's Sky Show, we're heartened by the interest shown, particularly from the Kiama Business Network (KBN)."

Council is meeting next week with the KBN, which is currently surveying its membership to assess the value of the NYE Sky Show, to determine the level of collective support from local businesses for the event.

"We understand these are challenging times for many businesses, and we're continuing to work with the KBN and the broader business community to find a sustainable model for this important event," Cr McDonald said.

"I remain optimistic. This is a chance for our community and business to come together with Council, to celebrate the New Year's Eve and everything that makes this a fantastic place to live and work."
