Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on Braemar Road, Tekapo, Mackenzie District.
Police were called around 10.55am.
Initial indications suggest three people received critical injuries and seven others received a range of injuries, some believed to be serious.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
