As stated by Hamilton City Area Commander Inspector Andrea McBeth:
Hamilton Police investigating a firearms incident in which a teen was critically injured have made an arrest.
A local youth was today taken into custody and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They are expected to appear in Youth Court tomorrow.
The teen injured in the incident on Tuesday 29 June remains in Waikato Hospital in critical condition.
