As stated by a Police spokesperson:
Police have now identified the man who was sadly found deceased in Gittos Park, Blockhouse Bay on Monday evening.
Following our public appeal, Police received calls from members of the public and through this have been able to identify the man and locate his next of kin.
As previously mentioned the man's death is not suspicious and will be referred to the Coroner.
Our thoughts and sympathies with his family at this difficult time.
We thank the community and media for their assistance with this matter.
