Emergency services are at the scene of a sudden death at Rainbow Falls, Kerikeri.
Police were called about 2.11pm.
Initial reports suggest the person got into difficulty while swimming.
They were pulled from the water however they were unable to be revived.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
