4 October 2022

October Business Month is now underway with high profile keynote speaker Dr Richard 'Harry' Harris kicking off proceedings in Darwin tonight.

Having worked in anaesthesia, diving and aeromedical medicine around the world, 'Harry' is best known for his role in the flooded Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand in 2018.

'Harry' was the joint 2019 Australian of the Year with his dive partner Craig Challen. He is now primarily working as a speaker, author and filmmaker.

He is an advocate for sensible risk-taking in young people, encouraging youth to get off their screens and get outside to build independence, resilience and improved mental health.

Speaking about his experiences in the face of adversity, Harry will talk about how to focus on goals no matter the odds at the Darwin Entertainment Centre from 5pm-6.30pm tonight.

OBM is the Northern Territory's annual premier annual business event providing Territory businesses to a month long program of inspirational and educational events. Throughout October more than 120 events will be delivered across the Territory to help businesses to connect, learn and be inspired.
