Off-Duty Officer Charged with Mid-Range Drink-Driving in Rozelle

An off-duty police officer has been charged with mid-range drink-driving.

About 6am today (Friday 7 April 2023), officers attached to the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command stopped a motor vehicle along Maney Street, Rozelle.

The driver, a 32-year-old woman, was arrested after allegedly returning a positive roadside reading.

She was taken to Newtown Police Station where a secondary breath analysis returned a reading of 0.081.

The off-duty Senior Constable, who is attached to a specialist command, was issued a field court attendance notice for mid-range PCA and is due to appear in Newtown Local Court on Monday 1 May 2023.

The woman's licence was suspended.
