A police officer has been charged over an alleged assault in August this year.
Professional Standards Command (PSC) initiated an investigation into the alleged assault of a 16-year-old youth who sustained some injuries while he was in the custody of police at Seven Hills on 14 August 2022.
A senior constable – attached to a specialist command – was today (Thursday 3 October 2022), issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault.
He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on 15 December 2022.
The officer's employment status is currently under review.
