Officer charged - Northern Region 9 September

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

In early May 2021, officers attached to the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation after a domestic incident was reported to police.

Following inquiries, the 43-year-old male senior constable, who is attached to a command in the Northern Region, was today (Thursday 9 September 2021) issued a Court Attendance Notice for common assault and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on Monday 20 September 2021.

The officer's duty status is currently under review.
