Officer charged - South West Metropolitan Command

A police officer has been charged with unauthorised access offences.

Officers from Professional Standards Command have been investigating the offences, alleged to have occurred between January 2021 and May 2021.

Following inquiries, a 23-year-old male constable – who is attached to a South West Metropolitan Command – was issued with a court attendance notice today (Thursday 10 June 2021), for 15 counts of access/modify restricted data held in computer.

The officer is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 21 July 2021.

His duty status is under review.
