Officer charged - South West Metropolitan Region 31 March

A police officer has been charged over alleged domestic violence-related offences.

In July 2022, officers from South West Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation into reports of domestic violence related incidents between July 2020 and March 2022.

Following inquiries, a 29-year-old constable – attached to a command in the South West Metropolitan Region – was issued a court attendance notice yesterday (30 March 2023), for two counts of common assault (DV), threaten to distribute intimate image without consent (DV), and destroy or damage property (DV).

She is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 18 May 2023.

The officer's employment status is under review.
