A police officer has been charged with theft offences.
In May this year, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District received a report an off-duty officer had allegedly stolen items from a store in Albion Park.
Following inquiries, a female constable from a command in North West Metropolitan Region was today (Wednesday 30 August 2023), issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice (FCAN) for five counts of larceny.
The officer is due to appear before Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 11 October 2023.
