A police officer has been charged with two counts of assault following an incident at Kellyville yesterday.
Officers from The Hills Police Area Command were called to the home about 10.30pm (Thursday 19 January 2023), responding to reports of a domestic violence-related incident.
Following inquiries, a 50-year-old man was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of assault (DV).
The sergeant – who is attached to a specialist command – has been granted conditional bail to appear in appear in Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 24 January 2023.
The officer is not currently in the workplace and his employment status is under review.
