Officers recognised for Commonwealth Games efforts

The first two Queensland Corrective Service recipients of the XXI Commonwealth Games Citation were recognised at an event at Police headquarters this morning.

Deputy Commissioner Paul Stewart and Custodial Corrections Officer Andrew Lynch from Escort and Security Branch received the citation, which is being presented to representatives of government agencies who worked a minimum of three days providing direct security services in Queensland during the 2018 XXI Commonwealth Games.

A number of QCS employees are eligible for the citation, and future award ceremonies are being planned to recognise their efforts to keep our community safe during the Games.
