Official Opening Of L'Estrange Playground: Bayside

Bayside Council is inviting the community to celebrate the official opening of the upgraded L'Estrange Park playspace in Mascot.

The new playspace has been designed to provide more opportunities for young children to play, explore and connect. The upgrade includes new play equipment for children aged two to six, responding to community feedback for more facilities for younger children.

Works also include a renewed soft-fall surface, replacement swing seats and ropes, and new equipment in the former water-play and sandpit areas. Seating has been repositioned to provide clearer sightlines for parents and carers, while selected park furniture has been renewed to improve accessibility. Existing trees have been retained to preserve shady areas in the park.

The upgraded playspace provides a fresh local space for children and families to enjoy.

Join us on Friday 4 September, from 3pm to 4pm at L'Estrange Playground, King Street and 124 Sutherland Street, Mascot.
