Oh what tangled web we weave/When first we practice to deceive

Liberal Party Victoria

The Andrews Labor Government's desperate spin and dissembling about the outrageous decision to try and bury the damning Triple-Zero report on Saturday is crumbling by the day.

Today, Victoria's Inspector-General for Emergency Management has stated that apart from a typo in one number that was corrected on Wednesday, it was the "same report" he had handed to the Government on August 5, now over a month ago.

This shows Daniel Andrews' statement yesterday that IGEM had been"making changes to this report late last week" to be yet more disingenuous spin.

What we now know is that the Andrews Labor Government sat on the report for a month, got one typo fixed and then contrived to release the report on the first Saturday of the footy finals in a shameful attempt to bury it.

As Sir Walter Scott would have said: 'Oh what a tangled web we weave/When first we practice to deceive'.
