A 39-year-old man will be charged with a range of traffic offences after he was caught drink driving in Port Fairy yesterday, Victoria Police say.
The Port Fairy man pulled into a breath testing site on the Princes Freeway just after 4.50pm.
The site was being operated as part of Operation Furlong.
After returning a positive preliminary breath test, the P2 licence holder was taken back to the police station where he returned a reading of 0.228% on an evidentiary breath test.
He lost his licence on the spot and is also expected to be charged on summons with a range of traffic offences.
Operation Furlong is a state-wide road policing operation focusing on drink and drug driving, speed, distraction, fatigue and seatbelts. The operation runs from Friday, 28 October to Tuesday, 1 November.
