OMCG associate charged after weapon, cash seized - Raptor Squad

Raptor Squad has charged an outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) associate and seized a weapon, steroids, and cash, as police continue to target and disrupt criminal networks in Sydney.

Earlier this month, officers from Raptor Squad commenced inquiries into the alleged illicit activities of the Hells Angels OMCG Chinatown chapter.

Following extensive investigations, officers executed a search warrant and a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) at two addresses in East Gardens and South Coogee from about 6am today (Thursday 23 September 2021).

During a search of a unit at East Gardens, police found steroids. They spoke to the occupant of the home, a 29-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman who was visiting the home from the South Coogee address.

The steroids were seized for forensic examination, and inquiries continue.

The woman was taken to her home at South Coogee, where police were conducting the second search warrant.

A nine-year-old boy had been left unattended at the home and a child-at-risk notification has been submitted to the Department of Family and Community Services.

During the search, officers found an electronic stun device and about $10,000 cash in a freezer, both of which were seized for forensic examination.

The woman was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station, where she was charged with goods suspected stolen in or on premises and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

The woman, who is an associate of a Hells Angels OMCG member, was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 21 October 2021.

Inquiries continue.
