A police operation is underway in Sydney's south west following a domestic-related shooting this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a home Gurley Place at Bonnyrigg just after 5.30pm today (Monday 1 July 2019), after reports of a shooting.
Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and found a 32-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
He has been taken to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition.
A man, aged in his 60s, has been arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station.
A crime scene has been established with witnesses being spoken to, as inquiries continue.
