Open Space Strategy consultation period closing soon

Community members have until 5pm Friday to help shape the future of Horsham Rural City Council's recreational spaces.

The Open Space Strategy has been open for public consultation throughout March and many local residents have so far engaged in the project.

The Open Space Strategy will help Council determine long-term priorities for the planning, provision and development of recreation areas across the municipality.

"We've had an excellent response across the past fortnight, particularly in regards to feedback on open spaces along the Wimmera River," Director Community Wellbeing Kevin O'Brien said.

"It's not too late. People can still have their say by visiting the HRCC website and completing a survey and by dropping a pin on our Community Map to provide place-specific feedback," he said.
