Campaspe Shire Council's Seniors Program Grants will open on Monday, 1 June and close on 28 June. Recipients will be eligible for financial support of up to $1,000 per grant to deliver events, programs or activities, with the aim of improving social connection and wellbeing of senior community members in an accessible manner.

Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell encouraged community groups and organisations to take advantage of the grant opportunity to make a positive impact.

"We're proud to support initiatives that improve wellbeing outcomes for older residents in our community and create meaningful opportunities for them to stay connected," he said.

Following the successful launch of the SmartyGrants platform for Responsive and Community Grants, the Seniors Program Grants will also be utilising the system for the first time.

"The SmartyGrants system offers a more streamlined and user-friendly approach for grant applications, and we've received positive feedback from applicants in other grant programs that have adopted it." Cr Mackrell said.

To provide applicants with support in putting together and submitting their application, Community Development Officers will run a series of pop-up sessions.

Grant support pop-up sessions:

  • Wednesday, 10 June from 2-5pm - Kyabram Service Centre and Library
  • Friday, 12 June from 2-5pm - Echuca Library
  • Wednesday, 17 June from 2-5pm - Rochester Service Centre and Library
  • Monday, 22 June from 2-5pm - Rushworth Service Centre and Library
