Police patrols, as a part of Operation Nomad, will target bush fire prone areas throughout the state today.
The recent bushfires across the state are the sad reminder of the dangers of bushfires on very hot days, with the public asked to remain vigilant.
With the very hot weather and northerly winds forecast today, total fire bans have been declared in most areas including the Mount Lofty Ranges.
Anyone who notices any suspicious activity in fire danger areas including persons or vehicles, is asked to please call the police assistance line on 131 444.
