Operation Vaporise intercept

A man will be without his car for 30 days and will face serious drug charges following an intercept in Point Cook last weekend.

Wyndham Highway Patrol Officers were conducting Operation Vaporise when they responded to a man allegedly driving erratically on Sneydes Road just after 9pm on Saturday 14 March.

Police intercepted the man after checking his speed at 115km/h in a 60 zone.

A search of the man's car resulted in police allegedly finding a quantity of drugs and a taser.

The 22-year-old Craigieburn man has been charged with driving in a dangerous manner, careless driving, drive while disqualified, possess drug of dependence, possess prohibited weapon, traffick and possess methamphetamine and commit indictable offence while on bail.

The man's car was impounded, and he has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 17 March.

Operation Vaporise is a crime operation targeting theft of motor vehicle and thefts from motor vehicles in the Wyndham area.
