Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad (MOCS) have charged a 47-year-old Cairns woman on seven charges related to drug trafficking yesterday, May 25.
The arrest was made as part of Operation Xray Gaston, following a search warrant targeting drug trafficking was executed on a Cairns North property yesterday morning.
During the search police located quantities of dangerous drugs methamphetamine and heroin, and a significant quantity of cash.
A 47-year-old Cairns woman was arrested and charged with three counts of possess tainted property, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of trafficking in dangerous drugs (heroin and methylamphetamine), and contravening order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
She is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today, May 26.
