Albany Detectives have charged an 18-year-old woman after an incident in Orana on 18 March 2021.
It is alleged about 1.30pm, the woman exited a Holden Captiva that had entered the carpark area of a supermarket located on Albany Highway and approached a 14-year-old girl who was walking in the carpark with a friend.
It is alleged the woman demanded the victim hand over two silver necklaces she was wearing. It is further alleged when the victim declined the 18-year-old woman assaulted the victim and verbally threatened her.
The 14-year-old was treated at the Albany Health Campus for minor injuries including bruising to her body.
The 18-year-old woman from Bayonet Head has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and is next due to appear before the Geraldton Magistrates Court on 6 May 2021.
Several people were in the area at the time of the incident and detectives wish to speak to anyone who saw the incident, particularly a man who assisted the victim.
