OSU Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony perform fall concert Nov. 21

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State University band program presents the OSU Wind Ensemble and OSU Wind Symphony fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Austin Auditorium at The LaSells Stewart Center, 875 SW 26th St., Corvallis.

The OSU Wind Symphony, led by Associate Director of Bands Olin Hannum opens the performance with Gustav Holst's "First Suite in E-flat," Kathryn Salfedler's "Cathedrals," Steven Bryant's "Radiant Joy," "Psalm 46" by John Zdechlik and "Aurora Awakes" by John Mackey.

OSU Director of Bands Erik Leung, who joined the OSU music faculty in fall 2019, makes his Corvallis concert debut in the second half, leading the OSU Wind Ensemble in David Maslanka's "Traveler," Eric Whitacre's "Sleep," "Bali" by Michael Colgrass, Vincent Persichetti's "Symphony for Band, Op. 69" and "Make Our Garden Grow" from Leonard Bernstein's Voltaire-inspired opera "Candide."

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. OSU students with ID and K-12 youth will be admitted free. Corvallis Arts for All discounts apply with a valid SNAP card and are available one hour prior to performance. All seating is general admission.
