Our world-class exporters recognised at Tasmanian Export Awards

The 2019 Tasmanian Export Awards have recognised the very best our world-class exporters have to offer from across the state.

In its 26th year, the Tasmanian Export Awards give local businesses a great opportunity to raise their profile and all winners will go on to compete at the National Export Awards held in Canberra in December.

Congratulations to Essential Oils of Tasmania for being named Tasmanian Exporter of the Year.

Essential Oils of Tasmania, based in Margate, was recognised for their high quality and assured range of pure essential oils and fine plant extracts that capture the essence of Tasmania. Their oils and extracts are exported all over the world, especially to the USA, Europe and Asia.

Expressions of Interest for the Tasmanian Government's United States Trade and Investment Delegation in 2020 were also launched on the night.

Tasmania has what the world wants and the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics' data shows Tasmanian producers exported $3.71 billion worth of goods for the year to July 2019.

The Government's Tasmanian Trade Strategy 2019-2025 is designed to position Tasmania to be globally competitive, help our businesses expand their presence in markets around the world, and attract investment and create jobs.
