Outlaw OMCG member charged with intimidation at Wollongong

An Outlaw OMCG member has been charged after a Corrective Services officer was allegedly threatened in Wollongong last month.

Investigators from Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor South commenced an investigation following reports a man, who was in the custody of Corrective Services NSW, allegedly made verbal threats to an officer following a short struggle while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Wollongong on Monday 22 July 2019.

No one was injured during the incident.

Following inquiries, strike force investigators arrested a 38-year-old man at a Silverwater facility about 11.30am on Monday (26 August 2019).

He was charged with intimidate law officer (not police officer) and remanded in custody to appear at Wollongong Local Court today (Thursday 29 August 2019).
