A P-plate driver has been charged with high-range PCA, in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 7.50pm (Saturday 13 March 2021), officers attached to Liverpool Traffic and Highway Patrol responded to reports about the driving of a black Mazda M3 in the Smithfield area.
Officers stopped the vehicle, with no headlights illuminated, on The Horsley Drive. The male driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.
The 25-year-old was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station, where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.199.
The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for the offences of high-range PCA, state false name, drive with no headlights and drive with defective windscreen. He will appear at Fairfield Local Court on Tuesday 6 April 2021.
His drivers licence was suspended.
