P-plater Caught Travelling At 152 Km/h On Bass Highway

A Devonport P-plater who was caught travelling at 152 km/h on the Bass Highway at Penguin has been disqualified from driving for four months.

The 17 year old – who held a novice P1 licence – was also fined $1,121, 6 demerit points and had her vehicle clamped for 28 days after she was intercepted by police in an unmarked vehicle.

Tasmania Police will continue to actively patrol the state's roads and highways – through a combination of high visibility and covert patrols.
