P-plater rolls at Prospect, South Australia

A P-plater has been reported for traffic offences after rolling his car at Prospect this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Regency Road and Main North Road, Prospect about 8.15am on Saturday 23 March by reports a car had crashed into a tree and rolled.

The driver, a 20-year-old Dernancourt man, was lucky to sustain only minor injuries. He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.09 and tested positive to methamphetamine.

He was reported for driving without due care, drink driving and breaching the conditions of his provisional licence. The sample was sent for forensic testing.

He was issued with a six month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
