Police are assisting Fire and Emergency NZ with traffic management due to an industrial fire in Papakura.
Police were notified of the Parker St fire at 3:10pm.
Cordons are in place at:
- Calvert Street and Hunua Road
- Boundary Road and Hunua Road
- Boundary Road train tracks (near Otuwairoa Stream)
Roads are expected to be closed for some time, and motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area.
Fire and Emergency NZ are also recommending that nearby residents keep their doors and windows closed to the volume of smoke in the area.
