City of Playford is continuing its plans to revitalise open spaces, with Don Hardy Reserve in Davoren Park next in line for a significant upgrade.
Construction is underway on the small suburban park, with renewal of the play equipment and irrigated turf happening alongside broader enhancements. These enhancements are aimed at creating a more welcoming community space for locals to enjoy.
Other improvements include installing sealed footpaths to increase accessibility, a sheltered picnic area and updated reserve signage to reflect the renewed space.
Mayor Glenn Docherty said investing in local parks and open spaces is a fundamental part of Council's strategic plans.
"We're building and adapting spaces where people can connect to each other and feel part of our community - working towards a more connected, happier and healthier city," said the Mayor.
"Parks and reserves provide that much-needed green space for people to visit, to play and unwind."
This upgrade follows recent renovations to open spaces in Davoren Park, such as Mandeville, Pete Smith and Sandford reserves.
The project is expected to be completed in September 2025, with the reserve remaining closed to the public during this period to ensure safety.
Don Hardy Reserve is located on O'Brien Street, Davoren Park.
