Parramatta Female Factory discussion about factory riots

Parramatta Female Factory - webCome along to Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor and learn about the Parramatta Female Factory. On Wednesday, 8 November at 10am, Gay Hendrikson will discuss the historic Female Factory in her presentation 'Hear Me Now' at the Hawkesbury Family History Group meeting.

With little trace of the female factory women's voices, six historic moments, known as factory riots, still speak volumes about life in the Parramatta Female Factory – corruption, mismanagement and the women's fight for better conditions from the 1820s to the 1840s. [Image courtesy Gay Hendrikson]
