Local small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to upskill will have access to more than 15 free workshops over the next six months through the City of Parramatta's Small Business Program.
From expert-led workshops to hands-on seminars, the program partners with top-notch training providers to deliver practical tools for business success. Workshops and events are available until November and include sessions on marketing know-how and public speaking skills.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said he's proud to partner with government and industry leading organisations to deliver programs that make starting, running and growing a business simpler and smarter.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and Council is dedicated to supporting them to reach their full potential," said Cr Zaiter.
"Parramatta is a city of opportunity, innovation and diversity, and we want to make sure our business community has every chance to thrive.
"We want local businesses and professionals to make the most of our high-quality training and events to build capability and industry connections."
Director of Hardman Communications, Sue Hardman, one of the program's long-time providers said her company is proud to support the growth of local enterprises through targeted training initiatives.
"Hardman Communications has been delivering networking, media and communications training as part of City of Parramatta's Small Business Program over the past several years," said Ms Hardman.
"As the head of a small business in Parramatta, I know first-hand how valuable it is for small business operators to be able to access programs that help them reach their full potential.
"It has been incredibly rewarding to work with the City of Parramatta to help small business operations build not just skills but connections, confidence and opportunities to back themselves and succeed."
