Passenger dies after crash - Hoxton Park

A passenger has died following a single vehicle crash in Sydney's south west this morning.

Emergency services were called to Hoxton Park Road, Hoxton Park, about 3.35am (Sunday 25 September 2022), after reports a white Toyota Camry crashed into a pole.

The male passenger died at the scene; he is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 17.

The 17-year-old male driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for assessment and mandatory testing.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Hoxton Park Road is closed eastbound, with local diversions in place.

As investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue, anyone who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
