Paul Arnold Resigns from City of Darwin

Darwin City Council

Paul Arnold has resigned as a City of Darwin Councillor after three years in the role.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis thanked Mr Arnold for his work and the effort he had put into his role as a councillor.

"I understand the reasons behind Paul's resignation and praise him for his continued efforts to represent his constituents and make Darwin a better place to live, work and play," Mr Vatskalis said.

City of Darwin Chief Executive Officer Simone Saunders said Councillor Arnold has been a proactive and community-focused Councillor who has supported various development and activation initiatives within the CBD and across the suburbs.

"His local business and tourism knowledge has supported industry growth and representation," she said.

Mr Arnold said it was a tough decision to leave his role on Council.

"I want to extend my thanks to the Lord Mayor, my Councillor colleagues and the staff of City of Darwin for their support throughout my time on Council.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed being an Elected Member and serving the Darwin community will continue to be a highlight of my professional life," he said.
