Pedestrian critically injured after crash - Gladesville

A man remains in a critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Sydney's Lower North Shore yesterday.

About 10.30pm (Thursday 20 October 2022), emergency services were called to Victoria Road, Gladesville, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a Toyota Landcruiser.

Police were told a 30-year-old man was standing at the rear of his vehicle after stopping on Victoria Road, near the intersection of Frank Street, when he was struck.

The man was pinned against his vehicle by the Landcruiser before being freed by Fire and Rescue NSW.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition with serious leg and internal injuries.

The driver of the Toyota – a 25-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and the Crash Investigations Unit commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
