New home for croquet opens at Eagleby

A new clubhouse for croquet players has opened at Bedford Park in Eagleby, providing the Twin Rivers Community Mallet Sports Club with its first permanent home since the club formed in 2010.

The facility gives club members a dedicated and accessible space to meet, host competitions and grow participation in the sport.

The new clubhouse features a meeting room, kitchenette and toilets, including an accessible toilet.

Previously, Bedford Park had four croquet courts and a storage shed, with no access to reticulated water or private toilet facilities.

The project was jointly funded by Council and the Queensland Government Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Road upgrades at Waterford

Safer active travel, improved drainage and parking will be the benefits of works happening around High Rd, Easterly St and Old Logan Village Rd at Waterford.

Planned improvements include relocating overhead power to underground, stormwater upgrades, road resurfacing, on-road car parking, kerb and channel, footpaths and street lighting.

Some disruption may be expected during the project. Road users are asked to follow all signage on site.

The project is jointly funded by Logan City Council and the Queensland Government South East Queensland Community Stimulus Program.
