Pedestrian Critically Injured in Bargo Work Site Crash

A woman has been critically injured at work site in Sydney's south west.

About 6.45pm today (Thursday 30 April 2026), emergency services were called to a construction site on Railside Avenue, Bargo, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command responded along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated a woman in her 20s before she was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

Inquiries are ongoing.

Work Safe NSW has been notified.
