A pedestrian has been critically injured following a crash in Sydney's inner West today.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of New Canterbury Road and Frazer Street, Dulwich Hill, just before 4pm, after reports of a crash.
Police have been told a 76-year-old man had been crossing Frazer Street when he was struck by an Isuzu truck turning right.
Members of the public assisted the man before the arrival of paramedics. He was treated for head and pelvis injuries and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command established a crime scene which was examined by specialist officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
The truck driver, a 24-year-old man, was taken to hospital to undergo mandatory testing.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for any witnesses, anyone that may have dashcam footage or information that may assist investigators to come forward.
