The Shire has launched a new emergency dashboard, designed to help our community find trusted, accurate and local emergency information all in one place.
Living on the Mornington Peninsula brings its own risks unique to this environment - from bushfires and storms to coastal flooding. The emergency dashboard has been built with our community in mind, cutting through the noise to provide accurate information specific to our local area.
The dashboard features:
- General information - things we all need to know, everyday emergency information and local contacts.
- Preparedness - practical steps to help you plan for an emergency and protect what's important. to you
- Response and recovery - specific information updated during and after an emergency event.
Mayor Stephen Batty suggests residents explore the dashboard now - before they need it.
"The Emergency Dashboard brings together emergency information and useful links for residents and visitors to the Peninsula," Cr Batty said.
"It contains trusted and accurate information, specifically for the Mornington Peninsula, from sources including VicEmergency, local CFA and emergency services.
The dashboard can help you check for warnings, road closures, power outages, weather information and preparedness advice."
