Pedestrian Dies After Bus Crash At Miranda

A man has died in a hospital after he had been hit by a bus in Sydney's south earlier this week.

About 2.45pm on Monday 10 November 2025, emergency services were called to the intersection of Kingsway and Miranda Road, Miranda, following reports of a pedestrian had been hit by a school bus.

The pedestrian – an 87-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for upper body and head injuries before being taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver – a 63-year-old man – was taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory testing.

There were no other injuries reported due to the incident.

Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

On Wednesday 12 November 2025, police were notified the 87-year-old man died at St George Hospital.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
