Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a man was struck by a car in Box Hill South yesterday.
It is believed the man was struck by the silver Toyota Camry sedan at the intersection of Perth Street and Middleborough Road just before 8pm.
The pedestrian, a man in his 80's, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 33-year-old Huntingdale man, stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by police.
