Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Harcourt this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports a truck had struck a pedestrian walking on the Calder Freeway near the Midland Highway overpass about 1.15pm.
The pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The truck driver stopped at the scene and was not physically injured.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and an investigation is ongoing.
