Pedestrian dies after Pakenham crash

A man has died in hospital following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Pakenham earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Templeton Crescent and Duncan Drive about 6.55pm on 1 August after reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car while crossing the road.

On arrival officers located a 45-year-old man suffering life threatening injuries.

He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Sadly, the Pakenham man died in hospital on 23 August.

The driver of the car, a 26-yaer-old Pakenham man, stopped to assist at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the circumstance surrounding the collision.
