A man has died following a collision in Heidelberg West this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to Oriel Road following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car.
It is believed the driver of a car suffered a possible medical episode before the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pedestrian and a fence about 8.30am.
The pedestrian, an 87-year-old Heidelberg West man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died in hospital this afternoon.
The male driver, aged in his 50’s, was taken to hospital for treatment and observation.
Police will investigate to determine the exact cause of the incident.
